The one-night standing entertainment party, following the steps of Pyramid in New York and Copacabana, originally started in December of 1989 at club PIERROT organized by DJ LaLa and Simone Fukayuki. A combination of the theme based gorgeous, yet avant-garde, shows by the drag queens and dance music (varying from the latest house music, circuit, 70s disco soul, 80s new wave to modern music) selected by DJs, makes atmosphere that will fascinate anyone. An opera-like unfolding that intertwines with the arts, creates a uniquely rare and stimulative humor, that leaves fans wanting for more. In the early years, DJs Yoji Biomehanika and Matsumoto Koichi of Urban Dance, drag queens Naja Grandiva and Diana Extravaganza were the residents of the show. From the 1980s to the 2000s, the show was invited to perform in clubs around the country and overseas. The eccentric and bizarre party now holds its stage at club METRO in Kyoto, Marutamachi on every last Friday of each month.
