2006 年に始動以降COLLAGEそしてMETROへと場所を変え、クラブ以外でも屋上のルーフトップやカフェ・バー、ラウンジ、ショップレセプション、国際写真展とのコラボレーション等活動を広げ、日本、世界の著名DJを招待し、京都のJAZZ/CROSSOVERミュージックを発信し続けてきた、"DoitJAZZ!"。今回は、ジャズ・アフロ等をルーツとし、そのバイブスを最先端のハウス、ディスコ、テクノを融合させ Gilles Peterson, Atjazz, Karizma, Lefto, SoulClap, Jimpster, Dj Spinna, Francois K,Detroit Swindle等といった著名DJ達からサポートされ先日発売された「TalkinBoutLife」と「Kampana Classics EP 」はレコード、デジタル共にトップチャートを記録し完売する等、今アンダーグラウンドシーンでもっとも勢いのあるイギリスのDJ/プロデューサー、"Aroop Roy"が登場だ！Aroopと東京在住時代ともにパーティを開催しジャズ・クロスオヴァーシーンの一翼を担い、先月シンガポールのインディーズレーベルMasumi RecordsからMakoto Jazz Trio名義で"Evergreen EP"をリリースした"MAKOTO NAKATANI"も登場。そして多くの海外DJのサポートもこなし、強いネットワークを持つ DoitJAZZ!主宰「 Masaki Tamura 」。 MadMats公演を成功に導き、自身のパーティ「 Back Home 」を始動させた「 SOTA 」。SOICHI TERADA や Antal (Rush Hour)らを招待する気鋭のパーティ「 SND 」を主宰する「 Torei 」ら次世代を担う京都実力派DJが集結。ジャンルを超えてクロスオーヴァーするダンスミュージックをお見逃しなく！

FFrom 2006 we started the "COLLAGE" and changed our location to the "METRO".We expanded our activities outside clubs to rooftops, cafe bars, lounges, store receptions and collaborations with international photo exhibits.We invited famous DJs in Japan and the world and continue to air Kyoto jazz/crossover music. tonight guest "Aroop Roy" is a UK producer and DJ, who blends together the organic elements of jazz, afro, latin and funk with the deeper edge of house, disco and techno. His productions have been supported worldwide by numerous tastemakers and DJs such as Gilles Peterson, Atjazz, Karizma, Lefto, SoulClap, Jimpster, Dj Spinna, Francois K and Detroit Swindle.And "MAKOTO NAKATANI" who released "Evergreen EP" from indie label of Singapore,the new generation of DJs from Kyoto gather together. AroopRoy is a UK producer and DJ, who blends together the organic elements of jazz, afro, latin and funk with the deeper edge of house, disco and techno. His productions have been supported worldwide by numerous tastemakers and DJs such as Gilles Peterson, Atjazz, Karizma, Lefto, SoulClap, Jimpster, Dj Spinna, Francois K and Detroit Swindle. His music has also received critical acclaim in the press, featuring in Vice Magazine, Mixmag and DJ Mag, amongst others.

Aroop has released music on a growing list of labels including House of Disco, Gamm, Basic Fingers, Freestyle and his own imprint Kampana. His recent 'TalkinBoutLife' and Kampana Classics EPs have been hugely successfully with vinyl selling out and digital EPs topping the charts. In 2017, he has numerous releases and remixes lined up including a hotly awaited EP on Fred Everything’s respected house label Lazy Days and a remix on Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood label.

From house and techno clubs to afrobeat nights, Aroop has DJ'd in 5 continents and over 40 cities, having had residencies in London, Geneva and in Tokyo where he made a big contribution to the underground scene creating popular and innovative club nights absolute!!, Exposure and Culture. Like his productions, his DJ sets are always a performance full of style and musicality, blending together grooves and harmonies from different corners of the globe with originality and guaranteed dancefloor impact.

MAKOTO NAKATANI (M-Scape, Makoto Jazz Trio)

2000年より京都を拠点にDJ開始。2005年からWELL ZIZz@Club Metroでレジデントを務め、Giles Peterson、Mad Mats、Quantic、Swell Session、Moonstarr等と共演し経験を積む。その後東京に移り、Aroop Royらと共に"Culture"のレジデントを務め、アンダーグラウンドシーンの底上げに貢献。直近ではシンガポールにてマンスリーストリートパーティー"Souloop"を主催した。また楽曲制作も行なっており、今年4月にシンガポールのインディーズレーベルMasumi RecordsからMakoto Jazz Trio名義で"Evergreen EP"をリリース。また今秋には東京を拠点に活躍するDJであるNamyのレーベルSpirit SoulからM-scape名義でのリリースを控えている。プレイスタイルはハウスを軸にJazz、Soul、Disco等の旧譜や時にはHipHop等を織り交ぜ、ゲストを飽きさせないプレイを心がけている。

Masaki Tamura (Do it JAZZ!)

DJ / Architecture Designer。2003年に活動開始以降、新譜・旧譜問わずJAZZを軸とした選曲を得意とし、京都を代表するJAZZ / CROSSOVERイベント”Do it JAZZ!”を中心に様々なイベントを手掛ける。デジタルに傾倒していくシーンに一石を投じるべく、BLACK MUSICをルーツに持つバンド・DJを集めて”日曜日の夕方から濃い生音を”というコンセプトのもと行われた”FREE YOUR MIND (METRO京都)”のプロデュースや、LIVE, ART,FOOD,DJの複合的要素を含む大阪を代表するJAZZ系イベント”BOSSANOVA underground (NOON+Cafe)を通してLIVEアーティストからの信頼も厚く、選曲の幅を生かしカフェ、ラウンジ等のサウンドサポートも行う等、京都・大阪・東京を中心に活躍中。昨年は沖野修也がプロデュースする渋谷"THE ROOM"にて行われた"新生音JAZZ"にてレジデンツ沖野修也・松浦俊夫に続きDJとして抜擢、ヨーロッパシーンで活躍するHUGO LX、Aroop Royそして新世代バンドWONKを招待、Degoやfloating pointのサポートを務めた。

Started to perform as DJ/ Architecture Designer excelled mainly at selecting both old and new JAZZ music since 2003 and held various representative events of Kyoto like a CROSSOVER event, "Do it JAZZ!". To stop the changing trend of music from analog to digital, he/she gathered bands and DJs with the background of BLACK MUSIC and produced "FREE YOUR MIND (METRO Kyoto)" based on the concept of "delivering rich live music from the afternoon on Sunday". He/She is also deeply trusted by LIVE performing artists through Osaka's representative JAZZ-related event "BOSSANOVA underground (NOON+Cafe)" that includes multiple elements such as LIVE, ART, FOOD and DJ. Besides, he/she supports cafes and lounges,making the most of his/her wide selection of music and mainly work in Kyoto, Osaka and Tokyo.DoitJAZZ!

月に10本以上のDJをこなす現場主義な選曲は４つ打ちを軸にHOUSE,DISCO,TECHNOとフロアを飽きさせず抜群の安定感。京都・東京のクラブ現場にて海外アーティストのサポートDJを数多く担当し、先月京都の音好きが集まる”WEST HARLEM”にてスウェーデンの人気リエディットレーベルである”Gamm”” Basic Fingers “の主催MAD MATSの京都ツアーを成功に導いたのも記憶に新しい。

Torei (SND)

2014年より京都、大阪にてDJ活動を開始。West Harlemにてイベント「HUgE」、「SND」を主催。また年間平均40本を超えるDJをこなして修行中。DJスタイルはハウス、ディスコを中心に、更なるグルーヴ求めてワールドミュージックへ。近年は広く活躍するアーティストと共演を重ねており、特にMad Matsからは近年で最も興奮したDJと賞賛を受ける。
